Your internet connection and computer speed can impact updating times. Notice the bottom bar it will let you know what part of the update it’s on. With the device plugged in select Automatically Check for Updates from the Basic Operations menu.After downloading and installing our Updater Software open the program.Make sure you have the Updater Software installed on your Windows PC.If there are updates available then press continue.Select "Check for Updates" (If you have not set up WiFi on your device yet then it will ask you to set up your WiFi connection.) See instructions below.From the main menu, scroll down and select "Device Settings".Power up your device either through your OBDII port on your vehicle or via USB connection from your computer.Method 1- Update directly from your device over WiFi The following videos will walk you through the process of loading a custom tune to your device.There are 2 methods of updating your WiFi-enabled device as described below. Repeat steps 5-7 if you wish to load more than one custom tune file.Press “Program” when ready to transfer the custom tune to the device.You will need to transfer it to the device by using the arrow button in the middle of the SCT Updater. Your tune will appear under “Available Tunes” on the left window within the Updater.After downloading and installing our Updater Software open the program. Plug in device after installation is complete. Save the files to your desktop or another location you will easily find later. Follow the on screen instructions to make sure you have the SCT Updater (iMap Updater Tool) Software installed on your Windows PC. (Go through the Install Wizard if prompted to do so.) Open the SCT Device Updater and click Get Stock File from Device. Select the desired tune from the list of tunes. Install the SCT Device Updater software: SCT Device Updater and connect the X3/SF3 device to the computer.Now select “Load Custom Tune File” from the Basic Operations menu then click on the “Locate Custom Tunes" button.Using the shortcut icon on your desktop, open the Device Updater software.zip files before you attempt to load them onto your device. Save your custom tunes from your email to your desktop.(Allow roughly 30 seconds for the drivers to install) Give us a call with the device, the vehicle, and access to a Windows PC with internet access to further. If you are unable to finish the update then it will require additional troubleshooting. Disconnect/Reconnect the device and run the update once more if the update doesnt start on its own. Using the provided USB cable, connect your device to your computer. Also Applies to X4, Livewire TS (+), and GTX Devices.Click here to download and install if you do not have the program installed. NOTE: Before connecting your device to your PC, let's make sure you have the Device Update Software installed. Method 2- Manually loading your custom tunes Disconnect your device from the computer (Do not reconnect the device until step 4) Step 2. You're finished! Your tunes are now on your device! You can now continue with programming your vehicle with your desired tune!.Select all available tunes that you would like to download and press "continue".The next screen on your device will ask you to press continue to sync available files with Cloud.Your device will then ask you about updating your device, for this tutorial we will assume your device is already up to date.From the main menu, select "Program Vehicle" and confirm your vehicle information.Power up you BDX or GTX using your vehicle and make sure it is connected to WiFi. Confirm that your Custom Tuning Dealer has sent your tunes to the cloud-based on your serial # they gave you.Method 1- Using the Cloud Sync functionality ( If you are not using a BDX or GTX, please scroll down to method 2) Method 2- The Traditional way which entails your Dealer emailing you the tune file and you manually loading them. Method 1- Using the automatic Cloud Sync functionality ) will use method 2, both methods are described below. All other devices (i.e X4, Livewire TS, etc. Our cloud-enabled devices BDX and GTX have 2 methods of loading custom tunes.
